Virta is a global pioneer in developing smart EV charging solutions. More than 1,000 organisations in retail, hotel, parking, real estate and energy industries use Virta’s platform – and in 2023, Financial Times placed them on the 1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies list for the fourth time in a row. The Powered by Virta network covers over 75,000 chargers in 35 countries, and through roaming, drivers can access over 350,000 charging points globally.
Jussi Ahtikari, Chief Technology Officer at Virta, has been leading the development of Virta’s EV charging platform since the beginning. During that time, Virta has grown from a small company of three to one of Europe’s biggest EV charging platforms.
Jussi shares an inspiring story on how Virta started digitalizing and modernizing old, hardware-based business models. How has Virta gotten to its current leading position? What are the key things you need to consider when designing a global digital platform? How are EV charging platforms different from typical software products – and should you build or buy? What have been the most difficult things in global growth, and how has Virta overcome those? What are the major trends with electric vehicles at the moment, and what will happen in the future?
Come hear tips for global digital success from Jussi and learn from Virta’s journey. You can also take a look at our previous meetups’ learnings from Oura, Kesko and Wolt.
